Are you artistic?

Do you like building or inventing things?

Are you a budding fashion designer?


If so... you might want to enter one of the Earth Day Ottawa 2011 contests. There is a poster contest (the winning entry will be used on fabric shopping bags) and a "Waste to Gold" contest (participants make or invent useful things out of recycled materials or garbage). Please see the Earth Day link in "Environmental Websites" on the sidebar.


Wednesday, March 30th- Special Lunch & Running Club

Friday, April 1st - Dress up as your favourite rock star of storybook character. Please plan and organize for this event ahead of time. Children are encouraged to create their own costumes from materials or costumes they already have at home. Let your imaginations go CRAZY kids!This is a fundraiser for the O.K Water Project. Please remember to bring a donation for this very important cause.




Homework

Language Homework


On line: Use the computer to write a paragraph that describes the main character in the narrative that you are writing in class. The paragraph is to include both physical and personal characteristics of your main character (ex. Charlotte is a large grey spider the size of a gumdrop. She is determined, she wouldn't give up until she saved Wilbur's life.) This needs to be sent through the "Weekly Paragraph" link under your teacher's name.

Continue to do at least 15 min. of reading each night.

Math Homework

On Line: Go to the thatquiz.com link under Mathematics. Practice multiplication and division found under Integers/ Arithmatic. Try to do a minimum of two ten minute sessions at some point in the week.
