Please be prepared to do your Plant Talk oral presentation this week. Be sure to review the schedule and the expectations as outlined in the Blog over the past two weeks.
Language Homework
For this week's paragraph you are to write a reflection on your experience writing the EQAO standardized test. Did you enjoy the experience? Did you find it easier or harder than you expected? What was your favourite and least favourite part about writing EQAO? Do you look forward to writing it again in grade 6? Be sure to include an effective beginning and closing sentence.
Science Homework
You are to write a true or false question about the plant you are doing your "Plant Talk" on. For example, if I was doing a Plant Talk on pine trees I could pose the true or false statement...... Pine trees are used as a special symbol at Thanksgiving. The answer, of course is,false.
Be sure that the question you ask was answered somewhere in your talk.
We will be making a collection of all the questions and giving a quiz after all the talks are done. It will encourage the students to listen carefully to each "Plant Talk".
Math Homework
Please spend time on the math websites listed. You are able to go onto Dreambox as long as you log on before 5:00 p.m. It is a great website!
Other Things to Do
Be sure to make reading an important part of each day.
We're making Grade Three Memory Boxes- Please bring in magazines that are age appropriate and that have pictures that are of interest to children. These magazines will have pictures cut out of them and used to create a picture collage on a pizza box lid. The students' favourite grade three memories will be put into the pizza boxes and they will be the special keepsake of the students' grade three year.
